Historic Adams House
Save $1 off admission

The Historic Adams House was built in 1892 by Deadwood pioneers Harris and Anna Franklin. Local contemporary press described the home as "the grandest house west of the Mississippi." The elegant Queen Anne-style house heralded a wealthy and socially prominent new age for Deadwood, a former rough and tumble gold mining town.
Enjoy a guided tour of the Historic Adams House, a fully restored Queen-Anne style Victorian mansion and a virtual time capsule of Deadwood's turn-of-the-century upper class. The home is filled with original artifacts - from monogrammed silver and lavish furnishings to family photos and personal correspondence - that chronicle Deadwood's transition from a rough and tumble mining camp to a stable center of industry and commerce.
And don't forget to visit Deadwood's Adams Museum while your at it - admission is by donation and features changing exhibits and special programs all year long!
