Adventures by Disney Offers 18 Exciting Itineraries for 2008

Adventures by Disney offers a lineup of exciting family adventure travel itineraries, magical tours exploring exotic destinations such as China, Australia, Peru, and Germany —and some past favorites to choice locales including the United Kingdom, France, Ireland, Costa Rica, and the Southwestern United States.

Adventures by Disney guests can stroll along the Great Wall, snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef, go rafting on Peru’s Urubamba River, or take archery lessons in the “fairy tale” land of northern Germany — all in a safe, family-friendly environment that is a hallmark of Disney. Also among the impressive list of activities are a star-studded tour of Southern California; a sojourn through the Golden State’s North country; and history filled escapades to cultural centers of France and Spain.

“Adventures by Disney takes guests on awe-inspiring journeys throughout the U.S. and around the world, with a style that is distinctly Disney,” said Ed Baklor, Senior Vice President, Adventures by Disney.

Each journey is designed specifically for families traveling together. Younger guests become “Junior Adventurers,” helping make and “taste-test” a myriad of flavors of gelato in Italy while adults attend a formal wine tasting; in Paris, exploring The Louvre in a mystery scavenger hunt while parents enjoy at their leisure one of the world’s most famous art collections; and getting to actually make their own Steiff teddy bear while grown-ups take the “official” factory tour in Germany.

Adventures by Disney excursions also feature exclusive experiences and special touches that make every guest feel like a VIP — a signature of Disney’s philosophy of guest service. In London’s West End theater district, Adventures by Disney guests go behind-the-scenes to meet the cast of Disney’s hit musical “Mary Poppins.” Australian itineraries include a private breakfast and showcase of the Taronga Zoo in Sydney. Expeditions to the “Imperial Cities” of Europe offer up an exclusive tour of the Vienna Children’s Museum. And Adventures by Disney offers VIP show access and sneak peeks inside the magic of attractions at Disneyland Resort and Hong Kong Disneyland on tours to Southern California and China, respectively.
