The Simpsons™ New Ride Among Reasons to Visit Universal Orlando® Resort This Summer

Vacationers looking for family fun and excitement this summer need look no further than Universal Orlando Resort. It’s the perfect time to visit, as this spring the resort’s Universal Studios Florida® theme park is unveiling a brand new ride based on the long running animated TV show, The Simpsons™.

The new attraction will give visitors the chance to experience the show in a whole new way as they ride along with Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie, hurtling through thrill rides, dark rides, and “live” shows that make up a new fantasy amusement park dreamed up by the show’s cantankerous Krusty the Clown. The ride will feature all-new animation and the voices of the show’s original actors.

An ideal way to take in all that Universal Orlando Resort has to offer is to stay in one of the three themed hotels on property — the Mediterranean-themed Loews Portofino Bay Hotel; the music-inspired Hard Rock Hotel®; and the tropically themed Loews Royal Pacific Resort. Each is a AAA Four Diamond Award® rated hotel, offering a wealth of recreation, exceptional accommodations, and first-rate dining.

All three hotels are within easy walking distance of Universal Orlando’s two theme parks (the movie and TV-based Universal Studios®, and Universal’s Islands of Adventure®, which brings to life the worlds of Jurassic Park®, classic comic and cartoon characters, Marvel comic books, and the stories of Dr. Seuss), and the Universal CityWalk® dining, shopping, and entertainment complex. On-site hotel guests also enjoy a variety of special theme park privileges, such as complimentary Universal ExpressSM access to skip the regular lines at most rides and attractions, priority restaurant seating, free shuttle bus or water taxi transportation to the theme parks, and more.

For visitors looking for value to go along with their theme park thrills this summer, Universal Orlando is also introducing its new 2-Park Fun, Food & Drink Combo. The combo includes a 2-Park Unlimited Admission Ticket, good for up to seven consecutive days admission to both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure theme parks; two 1-Day/2-Park Meal Deals good for unlimited trips through the line at select theme park eateries; and two Meal Deal Souvenir Cups good for unlimited fountain soft drink refills. Also included is up to seven nights access to the live entertainment venues of Universal CityWalk.

In addition to its two theme parks, the CityWalk® entertainment complex, and three on-site Loews Hotels, Universal Orlando is also home to Blue Man Group, whose new show premiered at Universal Orlando’s Sharp AQUOS Theatre in 2007. Universal Orlando Resort is conveniently located just off I-4 and Florida’s Turnpike in Orlando.
