            <title>Members Saved Big in 2009 with Show Your Card &amp; Save Discounts</title>
            <description>NEWS from AAA South Dakota, Feb. 11 – AAA discounts, including those available through the organization’s Show Your Card &amp; Save program, as well as discounts on hotel stays and automotive repair, saved AAA South Dakota members $5,083,000 in 2009. Members who used AAA discounts saved on average $93 during the year, more than the cost of a Classic AAA South Dakota membership. Sixty-one percent of AAA members utilized AAA discounts on everything from travel and restaurants to home electronics and prescription drugs during the year.</description>

            <title>AAA Calls For Texting While Driving Ban</title>
            <description>NEWS from AAA South Dakota, Sept. 30 – AAA and the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety are launching new legislative and communications campaigns to reduce distracted driving and improve safety on our roadways. The motor club has announced it will work to pass laws banning text messaging by drivers in all 50 states by 2013. AAA cites strong public support for the laws, the danger of distracted driving, and new research by the Automobile Club of Southern California showing the positive impact of California’s texting ban.</description>

            <description>AAA’s 2009 edition of “Your Driving Costs” shows the average cost of owning and operating a new car in the U.S. has remained relatively unchanged despite lower fuel costs. The average cost for a new sedan driven 15,000 miles per year is 54 cents per mile, only 0.1 cent less than reported in 2008.</description>
