Explore the riches of Ireland your way - and at your own pace - with this flexible vacation package. Along the way, experience the highlights of the countryside and its stunning colors, especially the fabled Irish green in all its storied intensity. The Irish, you figure, are lucky, indeed. You'll also encounter some of the world's most dramatic scenery and warmest people.

Traveling independently in a rental car with unlimited mileage, you'll be able to customize your itinerary based on your interests: You may want to visit Blarney Castle and kiss the Blarney Stone; visit the Cliffs of Moher for wonderful coastal views; see the Iron Age forts and Ogham stones at the breathtaking Ring of Kerry; or take a “Connemara Lady” catamaran cruise on Killary Harbour.

Day 1 - Depart U.S.
Take an overnight flight from your home city to Ireland's capital.

Day 2 - Dublin Tour
Arrive at Dublin Airport and go to the Arrivals Hall for a shared transfer to the hotel between 7:00 am and 12:00 noon. The hotel is located in Ballsbridge, one of Dublin's most prestigious addresses. Use your voucher for a prepaid open-top bus tour around Dublin. You may either stay on the bus for the entire route or get off at any of the 23 stops near main attractions. Also, use your voucher for the Guinness Storehouse tour and a pint, or for a shot at the Old Jameson Distillery.

Day 3 - Dublin / Killarney
Pick up your rental car and head south from Dublin to your next hotel stay in Killarney, a distance of 180 miles. Discounted visits:** Irish National Stud & Japanese Gardens, Blarney Castle and Fota House & Gardens. Accommodation: Killarney Towers Hotel - 2 nights

Day 4 - Kerry Touring
Today you may like to take a full-day tour to travel the popular 100-mile Ring of Kerry - it is better to drive in a counter-clockwise direction. The Dingle Peninsula is also a lovely day's touring and would be about 120 miles. Discounted visits: Kerry County Museum and Skellig Experience.

Day 5 - Killarney / Galway
Today's journey is about 120 miles traveling via Limerick. Discounted visits: King John's Castle and Bunratty Folk Park. Or, you may cross the River Shannon by ferry and travel along the coast of Clare, stopping at the Cliffs of Moher for wonderful coastal views. Drive through the Burren and around Galway Bay. Discounted visits: Burren Centre and Knappogue Castle.

Day 6 - Connemara Region
Tour Connemara, a region of unspoiled open scenery with misty mountains and sparkling lakes. Discounted visits: Kylemore Abbey and Gardens and “Connemara Lady” catamaran cruise on Killary Harbour.

Day 7 - Galway / Dublin
This is a distance of 130 miles, traveling from the Atlantic Ocean on the West Coast to the Irish Sea on the East Coast. Stop for sightseeing along the way or get to Dublin by lunchtime. Discounted visit: Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre. Arrive in Dublin and check into your Ballsbridge hotel once more. Tonight you may like to have dinner at the Abbey Tavern followed by a lively show of traditional music, songs and step-dancing (additional cost).

Day 8 - Depart Dublin
Drop your rental car at Dublin Airport in good time to check in for your flight.
